But in its place has come an abundance of comfort and pleasure. Today, it gives me great joy to be able to work in my current nursery school. It is a safe and comfortable working environment; the children who know what is right and what is wrong and can accept all education well; the colleagues who have become like a family; and the parents of the children who welcome me with a smile. by Nisha from Sri Lanka The Tamil Street Festival in Dortmund took place from 1st to 3rd of September near the U tower. Roselva and I joined the festival on the 2nd day and I was so happy to see Roselva enjoying the event. We had Sri Lankan Street food, especially "Kottu" and she said it's the first time she's trying that dish. A lot of people with a migration background from Sri Lanka and India were there. There were many food stalls, dress and jewellery stalls. We spent a lot of time there and there were musical and dancing events happening on the stage. I was very impressed to see German girls and boys dancing to Tamil songs on the stage! It was very interesting.

Hello I am Median Habukali from Zambia. I am 27 years old, living in the town of Choma which is my home town. However, I am a former student of computer application (ICDL) at Chodort Training Center. I enjoy and love visiting friends, cooking, cleaning, singing (it is my talent), going for outings and reading motivational books. Well, with the experience that I have gained as I'm working with the community here that is servicing in my church as a master guide ( who studied the Bible for three years) and being an adventurer leader of our church, I believe that with being a volunteer in Germany specifically in parish of Dortmund,I will be able to share what I have and learn more new things that I will encounter there during my volunteer program.

But no matter how far our feet go, in the end we will remember our family at home. Therefore, it is not wrong to talk about homesickness, or missing your family and the atmosphere at home. There is no place more comfortable and safe than home with your family to relieve anxiety. When your body and heart are tired from work, you would like to rush home, wouldn't you? Many have come here with different expectations from different countries and backgrounds, and the realization that I am one*of many who feel comfortable in this house gives me a sense of security and a great joy.
