Ein halbes Jahr später kann ich sagen, dass ich, obwohl ich noch nicht fließend spreche, viel besser Deutsch verstehe und spreche als zuvor.

Six months later, I can say that even though I am not yet fluent, I am able to understand and speak German much better than before.
