3rd Anniversary of Studio 41

by Nisha from Sri Lanka Good day dear all, I thought of writing a few words about our well known – Studio41. My first time to go to the Studio was when I was a volunteer. I remember I used to go there with my other volunteer friends to take part in programmes and once to find dresses for the Carnival day.

Dortmund is special, I like it here

by Sam from Palestine My first month in Germany was very good: I work in a Kindergarten and in a youth center, everyone is kind which makes the work atmosphere very good. I have visited some other cities than Dortmund but Dortmund is special, I like it here. I met new people, learned new ways of dealing with stuff, I am blessed with everything that is happening in here.

by Derio from Indonesia Attending the second seminar for volunteers from the United Evangelical Mission (VEM ) in Hattingen was an adventure from start to finish. Picture This: BBQ, workshop, FOOD! A bunch of enthusiastic volunteers, all in a peacefull town that felt like the perfect blend of a retreat and community center. CSD Pride

by Jason-Lee from Namibia On Sunday the 17.09.2024 we had a pride parade. It all started with a beautiful Sunday service at St Petri Church. The church was decorated with the beautiful rainbow colors of the pride flag. The piano was played by Nicolas, and Marlene sang touching songs that filed our hearts with so much warmth and love, again as we still fight the battle of freedom. A few people came for the service, and it was blessed by the word of God from our pastors Leonie and Martin.

Reflecting on my Seminar Experience: Sustainable Development Goals, German History, and New Friendships

by Mrunal from India Last week, I had the opportunity to attend a five-day seminar in Frankfurt, which turned out to be an inspiring blend of education, history, and cultural exchange. The focus of the seminar was on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on exploring how different places contribute to these global objectives. As someone currently working as a volunteer in a kindergarten in Germany, this was a perfect chance for me to delve deeper into the goals of sustainable development, especially in the context of quality education and sustainable consumption and production.
