Der Winter kommt, und jetzt ist die Kälte an der Reihe. Dies ist das erste Mal, dass ich für längere Zeit kaltes Wetter erlebe. In Nord-Sumatra, wo ich lebte, ist das Wetter normalerweise 18 – 32 Grad Celsius. In Indonesien gibt es keinen Winter, nur Trockenzeit und Regenzeit. (mehr …)

In der Nacht von Freitag, dem 9. Oktober, am frühen Morgen des Samstags, 10. Oktober 2021, schickten wir unsere Füße in das Land von Dante, allgemein bekannt als Italien. Endlich ist alles perfekt

Ich habe so sehr gehofft und darauf gewartet, dass alle Freiwilligen, die in diesem Jahr nach Dortmund kommen sollten, endlich da sind. Jetzt endlich ist es soweit, wir sind jetzt alle hier in Dortmund und leisten unseren Freiwilligendienst und ich kann Gott nie genug danken für dieses Privileg, dass Gott uns gibt, zusammen in diesem Haus zu leben als eine Familie. Alle zusammen in diesem Haus vereint zu sein, ist das Schönste, was uns passiert ist.
Es war nicht leicht für mich, hier im Volunteershouse zu leben, obwohl ich wusste, dass eine von uns noch nicht an diesem unglaublichen Abenteuer teilnehmen konnte, aber seit Adelia aus Indonesien auch angekommen ist, ist endlich alles perfekt.
Die Leere, die vorher da war, weil Adelia fehlte, ist schon seit einem Monat verschwunden und ich freue mich wirklich darüber und ehre Gott, der es so entschieden hat.

I like the sweater/scarf with the knitted motifs. But I never thought of learn to knit before. Because I think it is too complicated and need a lot of time to finish one piece of knitting. And I never imagine myself sit on the couch and knit because I am a type of person who easily gets bored and doesn’t feel like staying at home. (mehr …)

Winter is coming and now it is the cold’s turn. This is my first time experiencing cold weather for a long term of time. In North Sumatera where I lived the weather is normally 18-32 degrees Celsius. There is no winter in Indonesia, only dry season and rainy season. (mehr …)

Still a Long Way but Not Impossible

24. September 2021: Volunteer House joined Climate prayer #FridayforFuture from St. Joseph, Munsterstrasse, Dortmund. We were with some youths from Lydia-Gemeinde and Evangelische Jugend Dortmund. As youths that are aware of sustainability, we give our action these days. We gave environmental advocates as good stewards of God’s creation, we were joining this action and make everybody aware of our lifestyles that should and always protect the planet. (mehr …)
Everything is finally perfect

I also hoped more than anything else that all volunteers who should come to Dortmund would finally be here. Now finally the time has come, we are all here now in Dortmund doing our voluntary service and I can not thank God enough for this privilege God gives us to live in this house together as a family. Being all together reunited in this house is the most wonderful thing that has happened to us.
It was not easy to live here in the volunteershouse while knowing that one of us could not join in this incredible avanture, but since Adelia arrived from Indonesia, finally everthing is perfect.
The emptiness that was there before because Adelia was missing has disappeared for a month already and I am really happy for it and I give glory to God who has so decided it.
