A bunch of enthusiastic volunteers, all in a peacefull town that felt like the perfect blend of a retreat and community center. I was excited but had no Idea what the next few days had in store for me.

Our team consisted of Jana, Laurenz, Katja, Fabrice, Simon and me, Jason. We arrived at St. Altfried with 27 children and young people and started with the introduction, room allocation and general organization.

by Jason-Lee from Namibia On Sunday the 17.09.2024 we had a pride parade. It all started with a beautiful Sunday service at St Petri Church. The church was decorated with the beautiful rainbow colors of the pride flag. The piano was played by Nicolas, and Marlene sang touching songs that filed our hearts with so much warmth and love, again as we still fight the battle of freedom. A few people came for the service, and it was blessed by the word of God from our pastors Leonie and Martin.
von Jason-Lee aus Namibia Am Sonntag, den 17.09.2024 hatten wir eine Pride Parade. Angefangen hat alles mit einem schönen Sonntagsgottesdienst in der St. Petri Kirche. Die Kirche war mit den wunderschönen Regenbogenfarben der Pride-Flagge geschmückt. Das Klavier wurde von Nicolas gespielt und Marlene sang berührende Lieder, die unsere Herzen mit so viel Wärme und Liebe erfüllten, während wir immer noch den Kampf um die Freiheit kämpfen.
von Mrunal aus Indien Letzte Woche hatte ich die Gelegenheit, an einem fünftägigen Seminar in Frankfurt teilzunehmen, das sich als eine inspirierende Mischung aus Bildung, Geschichte und kulturellem Austausch erwies. Der Schwerpunkt des Seminars lag auf den Zielen für nachhaltige Entwicklung der Vereinten Nationen (SDGs), wobei der Schwerpunkt darauf lag, zu untersuchen, wie verschiedene Orte zu diesen globalen Zielen beitragen. Als jemand, der derzeit als Freiwilliger in einem Kindergarten in Deutschland arbeitet, war dies für mich die perfekte Gelegenheit, mich mit den Zielen der nachhaltigen Entwicklung zu befassen, insbesondere im Zusammenhang mit qualitativ hochwertiger Bildung und nachhaltigem Konsum und nachhaltiger Produktion.

The focus of the seminar was on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on exploring how different places contribute to these global objectives. As someone currently working as a volunteer in a kindergarten in Germany, this was a perfect chance for me to delve deeper into the goals of sustainable development, especially in the context of quality education and sustainable consumption and production.
