Living Worshipers is an African-Gospel band,where i sing. Together with Gentille, who also lives with us in the volunteer house. Most of us are students in Germany and originally from Cameroon.

Living Worshippers ist eine afrikanisch-Gospel Band. Gemeinsam mit Gentille, die auch bei uns im Volunteershaus lebt, singe ich bei Living Worshippers. Die meisten von uns sind Student*innen in Deutschland und kommen ursprünglich aus Kamerun.

Hey, I’m Camilla and I’m 19 years old. I moved from Berlin to Dortmund in July, and I will start volunteering as a school companion end of August. I’m a rather quiet person and I like to read, draw and being outside. I’ve been playing soccer for 13 years back in Berlin and will probably look for a new club in Dortmund.

Ich bin Camilla und ich bin 19 Jahre alt. Im Juli bin ich aus Berlin nach Dortmund gezogen, wo ich ein Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr (FSJ) als Schulbegleiterin anfange. Ich bin grundsätzlich eine ruhige Person, die gerne liest, zeichnet und viel unterwegs ist. In Berlin habe ich 13 Jahre lang Fußball gespielt.

My name is Timea Kiraly. I'm 20 years old and I come from Serbia. I study Hungarian language and literature in Novi Sad, which is a partner city of Dortmund. I am on my third year of studies and looking forward to become a linguist. In my free time, I sing in a christian choir. Beside that a read a lot, I mean really, a lot. Books are my true love. Well, no, not really. My true love is Jesus, and I am part of his mission.

An einem normalen Arbeitstag saß ich an meinem Schreibtisch vor meinem Computer im Referat Ökumene des Evangelischen Kirchenkreises Dortmund. "Hannah?" rief meine Kollegin Carolin -ich konnte die Aufregung in ihrer Stimme hören- und ich lief schnell in ihr Büro. "Wir haben eine Einladung von sevengardens bekommen", sagte sie "sevengardens?" fragte ich? Ich hatte nie zuvor davon gehört.
