I am a football fan, but just moderately. On Saturday, 25 May 2013, at Wembley Stadium in London, England, there was a clash between German Bundesliga clubs Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. It was a UEFA Champions league final. Since i previously was not following the Bundesliga, i had to randomly pick between the two teams to side with, and I took Borussia Dortmund’s side. The sad part of the story is we lost the game, unfortunately. Exact 6 years later on  Saturday,25 May 2019, i will travel to Dortmund City to start my one year volunteer service. How amazing it sounds!

The City of Dortmund as i have already heard seems to be nice one. The fact that it habours one of the biggest football clubs sounds amazing as well.

My deep thoughts go to the volunteershouse in Dortmund where i will stay for one year. I imagine a year of experiencing the inter-cultural interaction with my fellow volunteers from different parts of the World who are already there. I always like to meet people with different intrerests, hobbies, experiences, abilities, ideas, creativities. It is always wonderful to be surrounded with a different World sharing different aspects of daily life in its newness.

I love Arts, though am not very much good at it. Ever since I came to realise that my fellow volunteers at volunteershouse are gifted in different areas when it comes to Arts, I was happy to know that the house will hence be full of life and taste. I have even witnessed some moments of smiles, laughters, madness, working and exploration from them. I can say I can`t wait to be part of the house, sharing the little I know and learn much from my fellow housemates.

Looking forward for a very bright year ahead.

See you soon Dortmund.
