My first two weeks have been amazing. I landed here in Germany on Thursday on the 14-11-2024 in Düsseldorf at Düsseldorf airport and I was welcomed by Carolin, Frauke and my 4 amazing housemates. The team has been so helpful from the time I came up to date, everyone has been so welcoming, at the Referat and in the volunteers house (BIG BROTHERS HOUSE) 😂.

On Sunday, I had my first church service at my placement, where Sabine Breithaupt-Schlak got to introduce me to the church members and in the end gave me a present (a book) called “100 MAL Deutschland” to help me learn some key words that I can use to communicate with the people around me.

In my second week, I witnessed the opening of the Christmas market. Which was amazing for me because it was my first time seeing such a thing. The market looked so mating and colorful that I some point I thought maybe it’s paradise 😅. The city Centre looks so beautiful with people moving around, taking pictures and having fun, it was so awesome.

Am looking forward to how my first month is going to be.
