Hallo Leute! Hello folks!

Today I am writing about the biggest event I have ever attended in my life! The Kirchentag at Nuremberg which was from June 7th – 11th. All the UEM volunteers participated in this event and our accommodation was Bismarckschule.

It was very interesting to see that the whole city was celebrating with lots and lots of people and everyday everywhere events were happening. Before we went there Carolin told us that at a Kirchentag we can talk with any person, at first I didn’t believe this but when I got there I realized that it was true!

On 10th myself and my friend Eva we supporting the UEM at the cooperation stand of the mission agencies in Messezentrum and we talked with a lot of people who visited our stall and also who were passing by our stall! I met a man from India, who had been attending every Kirchentag since 2000 and he told me that he will attend every one as long as he is alive!

Also we visited a lot of stalls in the Messezentrum and I was surprised to see so many organizations trying to help people in need. Some organizations helping to deliver tools and give medical training in African countries, and organizations like Calcutta Rescue etc help people in India. I felt sad that I could not visit all the stalls in all the sections in the Messezentrum. However, I loved the stall by CBM, they had built a structure to show how it is to be blind and it really touched my heart.

Every evening we attended musical concerts and prayers.

Kirchentag is actually a wonderful time. I hope it will get bigger and bigger and more and more people will join it every time.

May God bless us all.

Nisha.
