I am Median Habukali from Zambia, south region of Africa, traveled to Deutschland recently in November 2023. I am one month 3weeks here in Germany.  I live in the international volunteers house in Dortmund with other 4 volunteers from Sri Lanka, Rwanda and from Indonesia.

My journey to Germany (flight) was a successful one. I am happy to be here as a volunteer because it is giving me a lot of experience while exposing me to the open world, giving me opportunities of meeting new people, learn new foreign languages (so far I can speak and understand a bit of deutsch), learn cross cultures as I am living with people from different countries and cultures.

In addition I have traveled (visited) a number of different places like Signal Iduna Stadium to watch a football match (PSG vs Borussia Dortmund), Bochum stadium for Christmas songs, Wuppertal, Schwerte, Berlin and Brandenburg, a place with a gate which was dividing Germany into 2 (the east and west Germany) as this is an important site for African history students.

My placement is at Protestant Church of Berghofen, I enjoy doing a lot of different new things giving me new experience and speed learning of my foreign language.

In conclusion I am very happy because as a youth I have an advantage of discovering new things, discover myself in new things of the world and learn language skills internationally.
