by Carol from India,
I still cannot believe that the month of March is about to end soon. Yes, I am excited as I will be completing five months in Germany but deep inside my heart, I am very sad, as all my favorite friends are going back to their own countries. There are times in life when you meet people who are just very hard to forget. Yes, it is almost the time when I will be saying goodbye to Josephat, Racheal and Dika, that too at the same time. They were supposed to leave on 28th and 29th but due to corona virus, all the countries are closing their borders and all the flights are flying due to which Racheal, Dika and Josephat will have to leave within this week, as soon as possible. Due to this situation even, their farewell party was cancelled. We thought that we had 1 or 2 weeks at least; we also thought that we all will spend as much possible time together but now we hardly have any days left, may be 1 or 2 days. Unfortunately, they all have to leave in a very chaotic situation but I think it’s for the best. You never know, may be in next 10 years, we all will laugh on this situation.
I have so many questions running in my brain right now. I don’t even know that, when will I meet them? Will I even meet them ever in my life? Will they forget me? What if we never get in touch again? What if? What if? It is so hard letting people go but then I guess it is how life works. Right?
Its, so hard to fight back with these negative thoughts but you know what? I believe in Jesus and I believe all things happen for good those who believe in God and I know that there was a reason and that is why I met them all. No matter where we go in our lives, time spent with all of them will always be precious to me. I never imagined that I will have one brother from Tanzania, one brother from Indonesia one sister from Hong Kong and one sister from Chennai (Hannah). Isn’t this beautiful?
It is hard to say goodbye to all of them but then we will always be united together, as we are the royal family of our beautiful volunteer’s house. I am also sad about the fact that I won’t be able to run and travel with my travel and running buddy, that is Josephat. We also promised that when we grow up (like when we start working/ earning), we will plan a trip in which we can visit everyone from Germany, Rachel in Hongkong, Dika in Indonesia and Hannah is India.
The way I see it, A GOODBYE just means that (A HELLO) will be coming soon. I hope to meet you all again someday.
Goodbyes are not forever.
Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean I’ll miss you all
Until we meet again!
All I hope is that they all fly safely back to their own country. Have a safe journey guys, it was a pleasure staying with you all. I will miss you all.
Thank you Carol,
We made so many memories within a short time.I always wonder how fast could we share so many interests and build up a friendship in the Volunteers‘ house.
These beautiful memories will surely last all days.
I hope we keep our words, don’t worry we will meet again and run and travel.Looking forward to even funnier moments.
Stay safe, joyful, strong and healthy till we meet again.
I will really miss you.
We will really miss you.
Dear Jo,
Yes we made a lot of memories within this shot period of time. I really miss you all especially you as you were my travel and running buddy 🙂
Yes, for sure we will meet again and yes don’t forget the promises which we made, no matter what because we will travel soon. May be we will go to visit Rachel and Dike in China or Indonesia. I have learned a lot of Deutsch and I hope we speak soon in Deutsch. House is really empty without you guys but now Jenny is here and I guess you know her.
Take care, stay safe.
Regards,
Carol
