By Josephat Seleman Hema from Tanzania,

I wrote this poem few days after arriving back in Tanzania from Germany. I was responding to the panic situation on the global Corona virus situation. It is sometimes scaring but we have so much more reasons to be positive and have Faith that it will come to pass. All will finally be well.

ANYMORE?

Ghost streets they seem,

My footsteps make an alarm,

Them, looking through the windows,

Masked and worried even indoors,

We are all holding our breaths and pray,

That we all live to see the new day,

My soul is sinking, so is theirs, even more,

Italics that used to excite me, feels no more,

What beauty should we treasure?

In the midst of the storms and pressure?

Yes tommorow might seem a mystery,

But it’s all written assuredly,

On the walls of your heart,

At the chambers veiling Faith.

Isn’t the Sun rising anymore?

Isn’t the daylight bright as before?

Should we stop counting stars at night?

Should we stop yelling at Sea waves?

Should we stop loving green views?

Should we stop reading poems aloud?

Should we stop our little daily rituals,

That means a lot in our lives?

No, not even close to now,

We still have Faith to count on,

We still have Hopes to lie on,

We still have much to thank for,

We should keep our smiles even more.
