Time flies. It’s has been nearly a year since I was in Dortmund. Knowing from Carolin, the International volunteer house is moving. Boxes are piled up along the corridor. The most memorable place, our big garden, unfortunately can’t be packed up. Star-gazing, tiny little swimming pool, playing volleyball, drawing, sleeping, sunbathing, picnic. It is the first time in my life living in a house a garden, a huge one.
Well, moving is not a bad idea as Wickede is too far away from the city centre. The new location is closer and next to the beautiful Phoenix See. I zoom in and out in the Google map discovering who is our new neighbours and where the supermarket is. Is it far from the station? Suddenly I was touched by those German words which I have nearly forgotten after one year. They remind me of the simple yet happy life I had. I remember the special flavour in supermarket, the train station with glass bottles around, the huge blue sky and tresses and gardens in the city. Those are not special moments and they are just as common as Netto and Dm but I am moved by seeing these names in the map. They was my daily life and accompany me throughout the year.

It seems like all the hard times slip away when it become memory. The supermarkets and train stations were full of joy and wonderful times.

It has been a long time not writing blog.
