before the general assembly of United Evangelical Mission from September 22nd until October 1st 2022 in Villigst

From September 22nd until September 25th I worked as a STEWART at the preassembly of women and I attended not only as a stewart but also as a woman, because I had to take part in discussions, lectures and other things.

In these 4 days of the women’s pre-assembly I learned – and I want to share this with you – that women do not need to feel inferior; you are strong, you can do everything that you want, you can reign a country, you can preach, you can lead an organization and so on. Don’t let yourself look small just because people say, women belong into the kitchen, no, and I repeat, no.

A parenthetical note: During the General Assembly of the UEM there was a discussion because there is a church in GOMA that does not want women to be ordained, and the women had spoken about this topic during the four days of their meeting and had shown their cases to the General Assembly, but there was a large number of men who still said that women cannot be ordained as pastors.

But the final decision of the General Assembly was that the church in question must ordain women in GOMA, otherwise their relationship with UEM will be severed.

To say that a woman can do anything in her power. Women, get up and let our dreams come true.

I continued my work as Stewart in the UEM General Assembly and also had the chance to work as a cinematographer for seven days, which was very interesting for me as it was my first time doing the work of a cinematographer.

Through the UEM General Assembly and the Women’s Pre-Assembly I also got to know some people, especially the President of the Église du Christ au Congo (ECC). I saw him for the very first time, even though I was born and raised in Congo 🙈😜.

In summary, I can say that it is fortunate for me to be among the volunteers of the UEM in a placement in Dortmund, and my life here in Germany is a grace.
