It’s Time for our second Guest Blog, this blog is from Supriya .V Peter from India (friend of Hannah Pandian), Software developer, Pet lover and also an budding writer. On asking if she would do a write up, she gladly accepted.

So here is what Suriya has got to say about her Hometown ‘CHENNAI’ in India.

Chennai!!, A beauty with a fabled collection of renowned locales having a rich cultural heritage along with a highly urbanized population is undoubtedly one of the most important cities in India.

Initially known as Madras, Chennai acquired its name from Madraspattinam which is a fishing village. Being the first city of modern India, Chennai celebrated its 375th birthday last year on 22 nd of August.

Chennai is known as so many things. For some it is the most intolerable city for having the hottest weather at most times whereas for some it’s home, their safety and their pride. A city where catastrophic disasters reunites people despite their differences, taking brave efforts to save lives putting theirs at stake.
Chennai is staying united like no other for a cause. Chennai is the beautiful sunset over the sea mirroring it’s every mood and the evening stalls along the beachside luring it’s visitors to savour every bite of the hot bajjis (A hot and crispy snack) and the roasted corn. Chennai is being swept along the crowd in the narrow shopping streets of T.Nagar.Chennai is the vibrance of talents.

Chennai is the smell of freshly brewed filter-coffee where the liquid is poured from one container to another till it froths which is as imperative as the taste. Chennai is a treasure to be cherished, A beauty that leaves us in awe! Chennai is the bond where neighbour’s become family and a connection where anyone from many religion, colour, caste and civilization can live together in harmony.Chennai is an emotion that can be felt only by being a part of it.
